The Eritrian Government reject the release of journalist Dawit Isaak

The Eritrian minister of information Mr. Ali Abdu issue a statement declaring that journalist Dawit Isaak was temprarly released from prison for medical reason and he will be returned to prison soon after being medicaly checked.

the minister's statement was a painful shock to his family and to his friends, and to all those concerned with human rights in Eritria.

the Suwera Center for human rights as well as other orgnaizations had welcomed the release of Mr. Isaak who was in prison since 2001, and demanded that the Eritrian Government should free all journalists held in prison.

rearresting journalist Isaak has increased his suffer and his family's warry about his health. This situation is a clear indication that the Eritrian government continue to violate its citizan's human rights and and pay no consideration to the feeling of their families or to its relation with the international comunity. As Mr. Isaak holds also Swedish nationality, the Swedish ambassodor to Eritria was seeking to held a meeting with him in order to make the necessary arrangments for him to join his family in Sweden
